Last updated: December 2024
1. Agreement to Terms
By purchasing and using FastAWS ("Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provisions of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by these terms, please do not purchase or use this software boilerplate.
2. Description of Service
FastAWS provides a software boilerplate and starter kitconsisting of Next.js frontend code, AWS CDK infrastructure code, and related documentation. This is NOT a hosted service - you receive source code that you deploy to your own AWS account. The Service includes GitHub repository access, code templates, and implementation guidance.
⚠️ IMPORTANT:
FastAWS is source code only. We do not provide hosting, infrastructure, or cloud services. You deploy to your own AWS account and are responsible for all associated costs.
3. AWS Cost Responsibility
Important: AWS Account and Costs
FastAWS is designed to be very cost-effective, typically under $1/month for low traffic applications.
However, since you deploy to your own AWS account, you are responsible for monitoring and managing your AWS costs.
By purchasing FastAWS, you understand that:
- You deploy the provided code to your own AWS account
- You are responsible for AWS charges and costs incurred from your deployment
- Cost estimates provided are based on typical usage and are not guarantees
- AWS costs can vary based on usage, region, and configuration choices
- You should monitor your AWS billing dashboard regularly
- FastAWS includes cost-optimized configurations to keep expenses low
- You can implement AWS cost controls and billing alerts for your account
FastAWS is not liable for AWS costs incurred in your account. We recommend familiarizing yourself with AWS pricing and setting up billing alerts before deployment.
4. One-Time Payment and Access
FastAWS operates on a one-time payment model:
- Payment grants immediate access to the GitHub repository
- Access is perpetual - no recurring fees for repository access
- You receive all current code, documentation, and future updates
- No refunds after repository access is granted
- Repository access may be revoked for violation of these terms
5. GitHub Repository Access and Code Usage
Upon payment confirmation:
- You will be granted read access to the private FastAWS repository
- Access is typically granted within 24 hours of payment
- You may fork, clone, and modify the code for your own projects
- Commercial use of the code in your own projects is permitted
🚫 Prohibited:
- Sharing, redistributing, or reselling the FastAWS source code
- Sharing your GitHub repository access credentials with others
- Using the code to create competing boilerplate products
- Removing or modifying copyright and attribution notices
Each person or organization using FastAWS must purchase their own license. Violation of these restrictions will result in immediate termination of repository access and may result in legal action.
6. User Responsibilities
As a FastAWS customer, you are responsible for:
- Setting up and maintaining your own AWS account
- Configuring AWS IAM permissions and security settings properly
- Monitoring your AWS costs and usage
- Implementing proper security measures for your deployment
